Sourdough Ginger Scones

Made with chopped crystalized ginger, buttermilk, lemon zest and a portion of sourdough starter discard. These scones have a light, flakey interior with a crumbly crust that has been sprinkled with generous amounts of turbinado sugar. To compliment these scones, we sell them with our own orange butter(orange zest, powdered sugar, pinch of salt and a dash of Grand Marnier).

Ingredients; Enriched flour(unbleached hard red wheat flour, enzymes), butter(milk), salt, sugar, egg, lemon zest, baking powder,  baking soda, buttermilk(cultured reduced fat milk, butter granules, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3), crystalized ginger(ginger, sugar, citric acid & sulfur dioxide), turbinado sugar & sourdough discard(wild yeast culture).
